The missile strike on the night of June 15 caused unprecedented damage to the Weizmann Institute of Science and struck at the very heart of our community.
Three buildings were severely destroyed, dozens more were damaged, critical infrastructure was hit, and 52 research labs were forced to shut down. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but vital scientific work was disrupted.
It was an attack on science itself and on one of Israel’s most significant assets - but science does not stop.
The challenge ahead is immense, but so is our resolve.
